9th Grade Retreat: Who Do You Say That I am

In Matthew 16:15 Jesus asks his disciples, “Who do you say that I am?”  As modern day disciples, we are asked the same question by Jesus.  How do you respond? Our 9th Grade Retreat will help you to answer this question.

Our retreat is scheduled for November 9-10, 2019 at Camp Gideon in Acworth. We will meet at Transfiguration at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 9 and return around 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10.  Lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning as well as our lodging and t-shirts are included in the retreat cost of $75 per person (or an early bird price of $70 for those who register by October 27). The cost should never be a reason NOT to attend.  Retreat scholarships are available.  Please note: 9th grade classes will meet on Sunday, November 10, but retreat participants will be excused from class.

This retreat will help you to see that the life and lessons of Jesus are relevant to your needs and concerns.  Each of us will be encouraged to develop a closer personal relationship with Jesus and to explore the amazing difference he can make in our life. Retreats include times to reflect, learn, pray, share, play and eat. We will not be praying the entire time, and this is NOT a classroom-like setting. To those of you who have never experienced an overnight retreat, it’s a great opportunity to kick back from your busy schedules, have fun and to get to know Jesus a little better.

Forms are due no later than November 3.

Peer Ministry is now ChrisTeen Night!

Exciting News for the Fall!!!

Everyone, Please Join Us!!!

ChrisTeen Night is an evening for teens from grades 7-12 to come together for

Faith, Fellowship & Fun!!

We will meet at the Family Life Center (FLC) in the Youth Room on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month. Teens will have an opportunity to get involved in volunteering to help plan upcoming events, be a team leader for those events, or just have fun with other teens during the evening.

Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers will work together and/or separately during the night, depending on what activities are planned.

Why should you come?

Because the friends that you make at ChrisTeen are friends for life! You can be your crazy, sweet, nerdy, sporty, weird, cool self and we will love you with the unbelievable love of our savior Jesus Christ!

Adults, if you would like to volunteer, please join us - you don't need to make a huge commitment, come when you can and Show Your Jesus to the teens!

Questions?

High-Schoolers contact Melisa - mgonzalez(at)transfiguration.com
