ChrisTeen Retreat

Come One...Come All

August 24th from 12:00pm - 4:30pm

This is a retreat for all 7th - 12th graders!

One of the goals of the ChrisTeen program is to help you grow personally amongst your peers and build the young Church. Well, it’s time to get ready for our ChrisTeen Retreat!

What are we going to do?  It’s a retreat for everyone - those who want to get to know others in the ChrisTeen program, those who want to be leaders, and those who want to find out how to get more involved in the fun activities that we have going on with this family of ChrisTeen youth. So we are going to create experiences that will enable you to have fun, get to know each other, and make you a better leader than you already are.

For more information please email Theresa at tbrader(at)transfiguration.com for Junior High or Melisa at mgonzalez(at)transfiguration.com for High School.

Mission Trip Interest Meeting

August 27th at 7:30pm

Love, Serve, and Connect !

Catholic HEART Workcamp is about SERVICE, CONNECTION and LOVING OTHERS. CHWC provides opportunities to restore homes and hearts, feed the hungry, lift the spirits of children, bring joy to the elderly and disabled and offer assistance while partnering with social agencies. It is a youth friendly Christ centered week of caring for others. Catholic HEART is a week of service and fun! In addition to serving, we will pray, play games, praise God through songs, listen to inspirational talks and meet lots of new friends!

Nicaragua International Mission Trip is about working shoulder-to-shoulder with neighbors to bring clean water, healthcare, education and economic opportunity to rural communities in need. This trip offers you the opportunity to build a stronger relationship with our loving God through being his hands and feet for others.  We concentrate on daily prayer and reflection to make certain our goals are consistent with God’s plan.

We will work with an organization that facilitates water, health, education, and economic development in rural communities. We support their mission to serve, so that Christ becomes more visible.

The need is great!  Most children don’t finish the sixth grade in so many of the countries that we help. Skin disease, parasites, and respiratory disease run rampant. Improved health and family life is impossible to achieve alone, yet hope remains.

This trip is offered to juniors and seniors in High School, to families and adults.

Peer Ministry is now ChrisTeen Night!

Exciting News for the Fall!!!

Everyone, Please Join Us!!!

ChrisTeen Night is an evening for teens from grades 7-12 to come together for

Faith, Fellowship & Fun!!

We will meet at the Family Life Center (FLC) in the Youth Room on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month. Teens will have an opportunity to get involved in volunteering to help plan upcoming events, be a team leader for those events, or just have fun with other teens during the evening.

Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers will work together and/or separately during the night, depending on what activities are planned.

Why should you come?

Because the friends that you make at ChrisTeen are friends for life! You can be your crazy, sweet, nerdy, sporty, weird, cool self and we will love you with the unbelievable love of our savior Jesus Christ!

Adults, if you would like to volunteer, please join us - you don't need to make a huge commitment, come when you can and Show Your Jesus to the teens!

Questions?

High-Schoolers contact Melisa - mgonzalez(at)transfiguration.com

Middle-Schoolers contact Theresa - tbrader(at)transfiguration.com
