Adult Parishioner: At Large

Election 2019 Nancy Prochaska.pngNancy Prochaska I am about to finish my first term on PAC and would like to serve a second term. Please elect me! During my time on PAC, I have learned a great deal about our parish and would like to put this experience to work and continue to serve for you. I have been married to Kevin for nearly 41 years, and we have 4 adult children. I was a university professor of business for 33 years and am now retired, so I have time to devote to PAC. Transfiguration is very important to me, and in addition to PAC, I am active in Women in Faith, Adult Ed, and Catholic Social Teaching, among others. Please cast your vote for me, and I pledge to serve you!

Election 2019 Diana Ruslin.pngDiana Ruslin -  Thank you for the opportunity to express my interest to serve on the Pastoral Advisory Council. My family relocated to Woodstock, Georgia from Northern California July 2016. My husband, David, and I have one son who is a freshman at Georgia Southern University. Our family feels extremely blessed and fortunate to be a part of the Transfiguration community. Last year I served on the Fall Festival leadership team and am honored to serve as Chair this year. I have also served on many boards, committees, and non-profits for the past 25 years. This includes Mayor, City Council Member, and County Chairwoman. I am also a former small business owner and educator at Villanova University. I would like to contribute my vast professional experience along with my commitment to my strong faith by serving on the Pastoral Advisory Council. If elected, I look forward to serving the Transfiguration community to grow and thrive. I respectfully ask for your vote to serve on the Pastoral Advisory Council.

Adult  Parishioner: 5+ Years in Parish

Election 2019 Brian Gordon.pngBrian Gordon -  My family and I joined Transfiguration in 2012 after moving to Marietta soon after the birth of our son. My wife Betsy and I visited Transfiguration one Sunday and immediately felt the presence of God and knew this is where we would call home. I came into the Catholic Church in 2008 and wanted to get involved. I have since become a Eucharistic Minister and a Mass Coordinator at the 10 am Mass where I also enjoy being a lector. I am also involved in the formation team of the "Breakfast With the Boys" Men's conferences and Betsy and I were one of the founding families of the Mustard Seed Ministry. I am a doer and I enjoy being active, so I feel that I would be a benefit to serving on PAC and helping to keep the wonderful spirit of Transfiguration alive. For fun and enjoyment, I play blues harmonica in a blues band, coach my son's soccer team, and find new places to explore in our beautiful state. I also love to draw, watch birds and listen to great music. My wife and I have been married for 9 years and our son is in 2nd grade and attends St Joseph Catholic School. I look forward to accepting the chance to serve our Transfiguration community as a member of PAC.

Election 2019 Kristina McInery.pngKris McInery - I have been a member since 1994 when my family moved from snowy Rochester, New York. When my daughter was in PREP and then ChrisTeen, I began volunteering in the copy room, as a co-teacher, and with the 9th Grade Service Project "Cooking With Christ", so if you received Shepherd's Pie from the church, it was probably her team that cooked it. I also have an MBA and a BS in Management Information Services. My background is in information technology and I run my own freelance website consulting company. I will bring an analytical eye to the board and a logical/technical mindset as well as a solid management background.

Election 2019 Andrew Wolfgang.pngAndrew Wolfgang - I have been a special education teacher at Barber Middle School in Cobb County since 2005 and was chosen as my school's Teacher of the Year in 2013. My wife, Susan, has been a member of Transfiguration since she was a child and I entered the Church through OCI in 2013, three years after we were married. Almost immediately I joined the Knights of Columbus and eventually got involved in Perpetual Adoration in 2015. I was approached to run for PAC in 2017 and was elected PAC Secretary, a position I've served in for the last 2 years. At home, Susan and I enjoy spending time with our two children. I would appreciate the opportunity to continue serving the Church on PAC.

Adult Parishioner: Less than 5 Years in Parish

Election 2019 Matthew Bischoff.pngMatthew Bischoff -  I have been a member of this parish officially since January 2016.  I am married to Heather (Coyle) Bischoff and have a seven-year-old daughter.  We participate in the Rooted in Faith Ministry and the Knights of Columbus.   My daughter attends "church school" on Monday evenings.  We attend 10 AM Mass on Sundays, enjoy Donuts and visiting after Mass.  We were married at Transfiguration in May 1998.   Before moving to Marietta 4 years ago, we lived in the Kirkwood (Atlanta), GA and were members of St. Thomas More Church in Decatur, GA.  I have been a member of the Knights of Columbus since I was sixteen and has held many offices and has served as Grand Knight of the Thomas O'Reilly Council at St Thomas More in Decatur, GA.  Transfiguration is a wonderful parish that we consider home. We have made many friends through Rooted in Faith, donuts, parish activities and the Knights and consider ourselves blessed.  I would be honored to serve on the Parish Advisory Council and ask for your vote.

Election 2019 James Estes.pngJames Estes -  I have been a member of Transfiguration since 2017, am currently in OCI and excited about becoming Catholic very soon. My wife Sarah and I have two girls. Our 6-year-old started Kindergarten at St. Joseph's Catholic School this year and our 3 year old will follow her in two more years. I have been married for 10 years and look forward to having my marriage convalidated very soon! My background includes business, sales and customer service. Together with Sarah, I operate Payment Pros which is a merchant services brokerage in Marietta If elected, I would bring my expertise and energy to the Pastoral Advisory Council to keep Transfiguration moving forward for its current members and the members yet to be in the future.

Election 2019 Bill Allocca.pngBill Allocca -  I've been a member of the Transfiguration family for over 15 years. Over the last few years, I have had the privilege of teaching catechism to 7th and 8th graders. I look forward to contributing to the spiritual growth of our young people with positive encouragement and support.

Election 2019 Tricia Dietz.pngTricia Dietz -  I have been married to my husband, Kevin for almost 19 years and we have 2 sons. We moved from Florida to Marietta in 2001 after Kevin was transferred with his job and while we miss the sand and surf, are so happy to have made a home here in Georgia. We joined Transfiguration in 2005 after finding out there was a full-time daycare at the church. Once we visited the daycare and attended Mass at Transfiguration, Kevin and I knew this was the right place for our family. Since then, one child was baptized here, my boys went through the preschool, made their first communions and are still in the Journey program. I have been involved in TOTs, the Babysitting Co-Op, taught elementary and middle school Journey classes, been a Prayer Listener, help with New Member breakfasts and the Mercy Mat Ministry. I work full time in Alpharetta as an Associate Property Insurance Broker. The YMB seems like the natural next step for me to take in my faith journey and I look forward to the opportunity and challenge.
