Pastoral Advisory Council

The Pastoral Advisory Council’s task is to counsel and consult with the pastor of the parish.  Members of this group, along with the pastor, are called to reflect upon and consider pastoral issues for the common good and future of the parish.  The Council’s role is to understand, carefully and prayerfully reflect, and seek consensus regarding various issues and matters of the parish community.

Time Commitment:  PAC meets once a month.  Council members may be required to attend certain other functions throughout the year.

Youth Ministry Board

Members of the Youth Ministry Board serve as active participants in the establishment, planning, coordination and evaluation of events designed to enhance and enrich Transfiguration’s Junior High and High School teens’ Catholic experience.  The board supports the concept of comprehensive youth ministry, striking a balance among the components of catechesis, evangelization, justice and service, liturgy and worship, and community life.  Each of these components also encompasses advocacy, guidance, healing and the enablement of our youth to become leaders in the church community.  YMB works with the Director of Youth Ministry and the Youth Ministry Coordinator(s) by actively participating in the events, advising the Peer Ministers and activity committees in planning events for youth participation, and serving as a liaison between the committees and the board.

Time Commitment:  Youth Ministry Board meets twice a month (once for YMB and once for Peer Ministry).  The adult members of YMB are required to be chaperones for youth ministry events throughout the year.
