Faith Sharing Groups meet regularly (weekly, bi-monthly, monthly) to pray together, share faith and discuss what is happening in their lives and in the world around them. Here at Transfiguration there are currently close to 20 groups that meet in parishioners' homes sharing faith, community, and support for one another as Catholics living in a secular world. Each meeting is about 90 minutes and discussion is centered around topics chosen by the group. Some choose to focus on the Upcoming Sunday readings, others on a book or particular Bible Study. Presently some groups are discussing Compassion by Henri Nouwen and the Immortal Diamond by Father Richard Rohr.
Groups vary in size, demographic, and how often they meet. One member described their group's experience as "we pray, we laugh, we cry and we eat."
