ChrisTeen In the Know

Looking for Service Opportunities?

Come help ChrisTeen sell donuts! Or, help sell biscuits!

The first Sunday of each month the teens sell donuts and biscuits after each mass in Bishop Hall. It is a fun way to meet people, help raise money for our scholarship fund and earn some service hours.

Donuts - contact Sam: s.nabb(at)yahoo.com

Biscuits - contact Dominic: reillycmgd(at)aol.com or Zack: zackhobby(at)gmail.com

Prayer Listeners are Needed!

Once a month, students in K-8 need help reciting/practicing their prayers. Junior high/high school students, and adults are perfect to help facilitate this wonderful tradition. Monday at 4:00 & 6:00, Tuesday at 6:00, and Sunday at 4:30 is where we have our greatest need. Please contact Sheila at smurray(at)transfiguration.com if you would like to help.

Discovering the Real You:  March 24th & 25th

6th, 7th, and/or 8th grade students and parents are invited to a special workshop, “Discovering the Real YOU".

We will cover some very important topics that will help students build confidence in knowing that God sees each of them as perfect in His eyes, and has created them for the purpose to love.

This is a Christian Sexuality workshop for our middle school grade students to help both parents and students understand where the church stands on many topics relating to sex and sexuality.

Our goal is to promote effective communication between you and your child regarding God’s precious gift to us – our sexuality.

At the conclusion of our day on Saturday, if our children know who they are, understand that Chastity is a choice, believe that there are risks and dangers in irresponsible use of social media, understand the difference between love and infatuation, and can identify positive vs. negative peer pressure, then our workshop will have been successful!

For the program to be completely successful, we need parent participation and commitment to your child’s future. One or both parents MUST attend the Friday evening session from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The Saturday session, from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. is for students only.
