This summer, let’s dive deeper...

Let’s put out into the deep (Luke 5:4) to enrich our knowledge and understanding of the faith, and become more effective fishers of the men and women in our lives. Let’s dive more deeply into our prayer lives, Catholicism’s relationship with other world religions, and why we believe what we do. It’s a fascinating, life-giving journey. Won’t you join us?

Christianity & World Religions: A Comparative Study

with Fr. Brian Bufford

Mondays, 10:00-11:30 a.m., Adult Lounge
May 22, June 5, 12

Ever wondered how Christianity and other world religions compare? What do we hold in common and where do we differ? We, as Christians, proclaim Christ to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life. How do we maintain belief in the uniqueness of Christianity’s proposition while still respecting the beliefs of other world religions and protecting the dignity of those who practice them?

Though attending all three classes will offer the best comparison, all are welcome even if for just one or two sessions. The classes will cover:

  • May 22: Christian Revelation
  • June 5: Islam
  • June 12: Hinduism & Buddhism

Fr. Junot will cover two topics during each of the three classes in this series. Though attending all three classes will offer the greatest benefit for understanding the Church’s development, all are welcome even if for just one or two sessions.

From Pentecost (the age of the Kerygma).
