TRANSFIGURATION DINNER AUCTION

When the parish was much younger, a group of people came together to create this remarkable concept. What if individuals planned small get-togethers in their homes and then the Social Committee could arrange a fun event to auction these dinners? They pulled it off the first time and it is back. Bring people together from throughout the parish to enjoy good food, good friends and good fun! The Dinner Auction event is and always has been FREE and open to all members of the parish.

WHAT EXACTLY IS AUCTIONED?
Many different parishioners plan and host events and parties of all sorts throughout the next year. They volunteer and do all the preparation, providing brunches, lunches, dinners and other experiences on which you can bid. Events can be as simple or as elaborate as you would like.

Past events have included a Word War II Bunker Banquet, An Afternoon Tea, Sunday Brunch, A Mayfest German Gourmet Dinner and a summer cookout, Games and Flames. Dinners can also be organized around an event, like the Kentucky Derby. Consider hosting an event with a friend.

HOW DO I BUY THESE DINNERS?
Attend the Dinner Auction on April 21, 6:30 p.m., in Bishop Hall. Bring your calendar and checkbook or credit card! Enjoy Hors d'oeuvres, desserts, beer and wine while socializing. Explore the menus of the dinners to be auctioned and bid on the ones that interest you!

SO, I WON THE BID ON THE DINNER, NOW WHAT?
At the end of the evening, you will pay for the dinners you were successful in bidding on and receive detailed information for each dinner. Your host or hostess will contact you at least two weeks in advance of the event to remind you about the upcoming dinner. You attend, enjoy great food, camaraderie, meet new people and make new friends.

HOW DO I OFFER TO HOST A DINNER?
Select a Theme or dinner name, time, and date. You have up to one year to host your event!
