Verse 1. I will sing God's praises all the days that I shall live.
My soul will glory in my God,
the lowly will hear and be glad.
O glorify God's name with me, together let us rejoice.

Verse 2. For God has heard my anguished cries,
and delivered me from all my foes.
O look to God that you might shine,
your faces be radiant with joy.

Verse 3. When the poor cry out God hears and saves them,
rescues them from their distress.
God's angel watches near to those
who look to their God to save them.

Verse 4. O taste and see that God is good
how happy the ones who find refuge.
The mighty shall grow weak and hungry,
those who seek God lack nothing.

Verse 5. Come, my children, hear me,
I will teach you the fear of God.
Come, all of you who thirst for life,
and seek joy for all of your days.

Verse 6. For God is close to the broken-hearted,
near to those crushed in spirit.
The hand of God redeems your life,
a refuge for all those who seek.
