Marilyn MacInnis

Marilyn became Parish Administrator after serving as our Director of Religious Education for six years. She holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Buffalo (her hometown) and earned a Masters of Religious Education Administration from Loyola University in 1992. During husband's 20-year Air Force career, she worked in education programs in Germany, Ohio, and Florida before joining our staff in 1985.
Receptionist:
Laraine Somaini

Laraine Somani joined the Transfiguration staff as our Receptionist in November of 2003. Prior to coming to Georgia from Spartanburg, South Carolina Laraine worked twenty-five years for Michelin in a variety of fields. Her son lives in Greenville and a daughter is nearby in Canton. When asked what her hobbies are, she beamed "my five grandchildren!
Finance Director:
Deacon Phil Miles

Finance Director, Phil was born in the Philadelphia area and moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia in 1979. He and his wife, Eileen, have two children and three grandchildren. Phil was employed by the Archdiocese of Atlanta in the finance office for 26 years before joining the staff at Transfiguration Catholic Church. He is currently in the Diaconate formation program and hopes to be ordained in 2010. He also enjoys acting in community theater and playing at golf.
Finance Director Assitant:
John M. Utz

John M. Utz joined the staff in June, 2003. Currently, John serves as Assistant to the Director of Finance. John originally hails from Chicago, receiving a Masters Degree from Catholic University of America and teaching in Illinois high schools. He joined the U. S. Customs Service in Chicago as a training officer, moved to Washington, D.C. and then to Glynco, GA and was National Director of Training for the Customs Service for fifteen years. He served as financial advisor for Customs Service Management Center in Atlanta. Retiring from Customs, he moved to Tennessee to assist his in-laws and was employed in Sevier County, TN offices in Computer Networking and Accounting. The Utz family returned to Georgia with his in-laws to be with their four children and six grandchildren. He enjoys computers, networking, grandchildren (his grown children, too), and working around the house.
Records Manager:
Cindy Zondlak

Originally from Michigan, Cindy and her family have been members of Transfiguration since 1997. Cindy began working as the ChrisTeen secretary in 2003 and became the Records Manager in 2009.
Secretaro Hispano:
Denisse Torres

Our Secretaro Hispanio was born in Mexico City and she received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relationships in 1995. She has a CDA credential, and used to work as a Child Care Director and was the Coordinator for the Hispanic Families. Her major strengths are: creativity, imagination, productiveness, and a dynamic attitude. Denisse feels very satisfied when her hard work pays off and is very happy to become part of Transfiguration, especially because she can work very close with the Hispanic Community.
Maintenance Supervisor:
Allen Berthiaume

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Alan is a 20 year veteran of the USAF and a scuba instructor. Alan is our Maintenance Supervisor.
Media Director:
Matt Calvo

Matt joined the Transfiguration staff in 2006 as a Youth Minister. He earned his degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida. He has worked in various video production capacities for television stations, CNN, Turner Network Operations, and Philips Arena. Included in his media responsibilities is website content. Matt is married to Melody and they have one child, Nicolas.
Bookkeeper:
Michael Flanagan
Michael was born in Washington, DC and lived in Maryland until his move to Georgia in January 2006. Michael graduated from Benjamin Franklin University in 1973 with an Associates Degree in Business Administration and in 1975 was awarded his Bachelors Degree in Commercial Science. Following graduation, Michael was employed by the accounting firm of Millard T. Charlton and Associates where he received his Certified Public Account certificate. Michael became a part owner of the firm in 1981 and resigned after 30 years of public practice in 2006. Michael currently holds an inactive Certified Public Accountant license from the state of Maryland. Michael and his wife Rosemary have two children and three grandchildren.
Assitant Administrator:
Renee Ponce
Renee Ponce was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to Georgia in 1977 and has been a member of Transfiguration since 1986. Renee was employed as a Regional Director of MetLife Insurance Company for over 25 years; working primarily in administration and retirement planning. Renee is married to Igor and has 2 daughters and 3 stepchildren along with 1 grandson.
